This is a calm and peaceful short route with a few small hills. A good place to walk with or without a dog, cycle or scoot. You should see a variety of birds and butterflies on your visit. There is a large green area just opposite the entrance with lots of space to run, play games and have a picnic. Bring a picnic blanket or rug with you as there are no wooden benches to sit at.as Windy Nook Nature Reserve is a protected wildlife area.
How to get there
Windy Nook Nature Reserve is about 50 minutes walk from Gateshead Interchange on foot and can be easily reached by bus from Gateshead Interchange. There is street parking in the streets around the nature reserve.
