Strategic Flood Risk Assessment
Level 1 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) (March 2019)
The Level 1 SFRA assesses the risk from all sources of flooding throughout the borough, and assesses the impact of land use changes and development on flood risk. Based on National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) (2019) and Flood Risk and Coastal Change Planning Practice Guidance (FRCC-PPG), it provided the evidence base for Part 3 of the Local Plan 'Making Spaces for Growing Spaces'. It also provides information and guidance on the potential risk of flooding associated with planning applications and the basis for site-specific Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) where necessary.
