Further education
Further education (often abbreviated FE ) is post-compulsory education and takes place at any time after you've completed secondary school. It includes:
- vocational or technical training including GCSE, A' Levels and T' Levels plus courses like diplomas or where you gain practical skills like construction and hairdressing
- community learning including qualifications such as functional skills, employability skills, and IT plus a wide variety of on-qualification courses like arts and crafts, family learning, and courses to help with your mental well-being
- training whilst in paid work or volunteering such as an apprenticeship or a supported internship
