Unlocking Success bursary scheme reopens for applications
The Unlocking Success Bursary Scheme has reopened for its third round of funding, with a number of £500 grants available to tenants who want to further their learning.
The scheme is funded through the Northern Housing Consortium Charitable Trust. Since launching the scheme in 2019, the Northern Housing Consortium has paid out 47 awards to the value of £16,400. Six of these awards have benefited Gateshead Council tenants.
Grants can be used to support learning itself, or go towards associated costs such as equipment, childcare or travel.
To be eligible to apply, applicants must be:
- 16 years old or over
- Housed by a social landlord
- Using the grant to enhance their skills and further their development
The deadline for applications is 30 June 2021.
