Equality Diversity and Inclusion Group

Residents, housing employees and partners work together to ensure that the services we provide are fair, accessible, and designed around the needs of all our customers.

More broadly, the group looks at how we can work to remove issues of stigma that residents may face in their homes and communities. It also seeks opportunities to engage nationally around important equality issues.

We welcome people from diverse communities, particularly LGBTQ+, BAME and people with disabilities, to join our EDI group, and share their lived experiences to help us provide housing services that work for everyone. The group usually meets every other month for a two-hour informal meeting, and we can provide a range of support to help you attend.

Recently the group has been involved in reviewing and testing the application procedure for lettings, and an awareness raising campaign for Mental Health Awareness Week.
