The Comfrey Project

We are a community garden and indoor space in Bensham. 

Visitors can expect a friendly welcome, a warm room, a hot drink and a biscuit, free Wifi and the chance to chat with other people at the centre.

Visitors are able to take part in various creative group activities taking place, such as gardening, arts & crafts, cooking and more. 

A freshly prepared, healthy vegetarian lunch is available at 1pm on our Warm Welcome open days. 

We signpost and refer out to relevant organisations for further support.

The centre is on bus routes 1A, 1B, 28A, 49, 49A, 49C, 93, 94 and 97. There is a bus stop right outside the centre, a few minutes from Gateshead Interchange.
