More adventures to come for the Angel of the North

As schools across Gateshead continue to take their own Angel of the North on adventures, Gateshead Council has arranged for more knitted Angels to be located in community buildings for everyone to join in the 25th birthday celebrations for the iconic landmark.
A further 25 knitted angels, lovingly handmade by the Council's Art Diamonds and Library knitters, will be arriving in community locations across the borough from Monday 3 April so people can start enjoying angel adventures throughout the Easter holidays.
Iain Burns, Service Director, Office of the Chief Executive, Gateshead Council, said: "We know how popular our knitted angels have been with our school children and it's been great to see the adventures some of them have been on, one even made it to New York!" We wanted to be able to give more people the opportunity to join in with the fun of an angel adventure as it's a very special year for our Angel of the North. We can't wait to see where our Angels go and we hope people enjoy getting involved."
Gateshead Council is encouraging people to take the angels out on adventures across the borough and to share pictures using the hashtags #AngelAdventures and #AngelViews25 with them on the Gateshead Alive Facebook or Instagram page using #AngelViews25. Each Angel has its own name so their adventures can be tracked to see where they've been and they will be located in the following places:
