Learning objectives
This Lunch and Learn will explore extremist ideologies including:
- definitions of extremism
- characteristics of extremist ideology
- psychological motivation and susceptibilities
- pathways to radicalisation
Learning outcomes
By the end of this training, attendees should be able to
- define extremist ideologies
- identify the defining characteristics of extremist ideologies
- explain why individuals with extremist ideologies may be more at risk of terrorism or supporting terrorism
- explain the non-ideological factors that may contribute to terrorism
- explain how complex needs interplay with extremist ideologies
- identify when an individual expressing an extremist ideology should be referred to Prevent
