Overview

This Lunch and Learn session will explore emerging ideologies including:

• incels and extreme misogyny
• fascination with extreme violence or mass casualty attacks (including school massacres)
• extreme left-wing, anarchist and single issue terrorism (LASIT)

Learning outcomes 

By the end of this training attendees should be able to:  

• define emerging and other extremist ideologies
• identify the defining characteristics of emerging and other ideologies
• recognise contemporary manifestations of emerging and other extremist ideologies
• analyse how emerging and other extremist ideologies can motivate terrorism
• make informed judgements on whether an individual expressing emerging or other extremist ideologies should be referred to Prevent
