Who are we and what do we do
Highways Operations and Engineering Services are parts of Gateshead Council. We are based at Shearlegs Road Depot and provide the following services:
processing of the vehicle crossing and highways scheme applications
handling requests for changes to the highway (such as temporary traffic light regulation orders, highways improvements, dropped kerbs, road humps, connections, adoptions, safety measures, adaptations for disability, maintenance to the highway, requests to investigate flooding)
