We have seen a soar in energy bills over the last year and, with costs set to remain high this winter, many Gateshead residents are left with very real concerns about how to afford them.

To help prepare residents for high fuel costs ahead of the coming colder months, we are hosting a series of specialist Energy Roadshows across different locations in the borough.

Come along for free and impartial advice to learn how you can save money on your energy bills and keep your household warm.

We'll be joined by Energy Specialist Advisors from Citizens Advice and Groundwork, as well as representatives from each of the major utility providers (Northern Gas, Northern Powergrid and Northumbrian Water).

On the day you can come and chat to us for advice, or book an appointment with our energy advice specialists for more bespoke and detailed guidance.

Matt Copeland, Head of Policy and Public Affairs at National Energy Action said:

"For a year now, we have had high energy prices that are unaffordable to millions. And with prices looking set to stay high for years to come, it has never been more important to support households to stay warm at home. We expect that millions across the country will take severe actions to ration their energy, all just to keep their bills more affordable. These roadshows will support as many local people as possible to prepare for the winter, helping to keep people warm and well."

The Gateshead Roadshows are free and open to anyone to attend and receive free advice.
