Can you donate gifts for children and young people in Gateshead?
Gateshead staff, residents, businesses and organisations are being asked to donate gifts for children who are supported by our Children's Services.
This year, Children's Services are asking colleagues from across the Council to donate gifts suitable for any age between 0 and 18 in its annual appeal to ensure every child in Gateshead has a gift to open on Christmas Day.
Christmas can be an especially difficult time for those who access support from Children's Services, which is why it's so important that each and every child and young person is able to receive a gift.
For those who are able to donate, please ensure that:
- all gifts are new and unopened
- all gifts remain unwrapped, so they can be checked before being wrapped
- all gifts are donated by close on Monday 16 December at the latest
The team will also accept cash and voucher donations to use for purchasing appropriate gifts.
Donations can be left at:
- The Civic Centre (Main reception)
- Gateshead Family Hubs
- Gateshead Council Libraries (Including weekends)
