Dedication

I want to dedicate this report to everyone who has suffered loss over the course of the pandemic;

to those who have lost loved ones and not been able to find comfort in those precious last hours together or mourning in person with family and friends;

to those whose relationships have broken down because of unprecedented stress and uncertainty;

to those who have lost financial stability or experienced poverty through unemployment or the harsh economic environment;

and to those who have struggled through shielding, lockdowns and social restrictions because of the loss of routine, lack of human interaction and missing out on those everyday things that mean so much to all of us.

I also want to thank everyone, across public, private, community and voluntary sector organisations, who have gone far above and beyond to save and protect lives. In particular our frontline and key workers who have worked tirelessly to keep essential services going and to everyone who has volunteered to support their neighbours and community. Thank you.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has shared their Covid-19 stories with us for this report.
