Aim:To Gain a better understanding the MARAC process

Learning objectives

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Understanding what is high risk
  • Understand the MARAC Process and how agencies contribute to MARAC
  • Recognise the underpinning legislation and principles
  • Understand the role of Safelives
  • Understand Risk Indicator Checklist (RIC) and referral form
  • Understand the meeting processes and contribute to the MARAC Action Planning process
  • Understand how MARAC links to MAPPA/MATAC and understand their thresholds

 

Suitable for

  • Intercollegiate Framework: level 2 People identified in Groups 3-5
  • Bournemouth University Framework: People identified in Group B2-D
  • Staff who may work with people at risk of high risk DVA or have responsibility of attending MARAC Meetings
