North East Falconry kindly offered two free educational school visits on Gateshead Exchange, with Ateres High School in Felling accepting the first of these in January 2024.

Glen from North East Falconry visited the school, taking along an impressive selection of birds of prey. He displayed each bird and gave students the chance to hold some of them. Students learned about each bird of prey in a fun and interactive way where they could ask any questions that they had.

Samuel Rosenthal, Ateres High School's deputy head, said, "Glen from North East Falconry engaged over 200 of our students, years 7 to 11, with a magnificent birds of prey display. Students were able to stroke and hold a range of birds, and significantly gained from the event. We are truly grateful to Gateshead Exchange for their coordination and input."

Glen from North East Falconry said, "The students showed huge enthusiasm during our visit. They had great questions and answers, learning about birds of prey. Students enjoyed being close to our birds and having the opportunity to hold some."
