Pelaw Community Bowling Club - Requesting volunteers, donations and training

Pelaw Bowling Club aims to promote healthy recreation in the local area and encourage the game of bowls for everyone, regardless of age, sex, or mobility.

Volunteers

They are requesting help from volunteers to repair the Tarmac around the perimeter of the green and help clean the paving in front of the clubhouse. They also need help with maintaining the bowling area by removing the weeds, trimming the hedges and painting the wooden benches. Gardening and lawn mowing around the perimeter of the green.

Donations

Donations to help replace the shutters on the building as this is a manual job at the moment and would benefit from this being an electric shutter. They would also benefit from insulation being added to the building to reduce their heating bills.

Training

First Aid Training, including the use of the defibrillator. As well as Safeguarding Training and basic Fire fighting - Use of different extinguishers.

Sponsors

Pelaw Community Bowling Club would like new sponsors. They'd like to purchase new club shirts and jackets in the club colours which would clearly identify the sponsor. Volunteers of the club carry out a number of events within the community each year and they'd be wearing the club shirt while working the events.
