Newcastle Bridges School at Kenton offers education to pupils aged 11-16 years old who are unable to access mainstream school due to medical and mental health needs.
It offers a smaller and more nurturing environment than most mainstream secondary settings - typical class size is under 10 and intensive support. A secondary curriculum is followed and pupils can sit external exams.
The school specialises in meeting the needs of students with anxiety and/or mental health issues.
The school is fully accessible to disabled students. They offer very bespoke programmes of study especially when students first join and they need a very supportive transition programme especially when they have been out of school for a long period of time.

About the teaching
All training is carried out in Kenton, Newcastle.
Students can attend from locations across the North East.
Teaching is delivered typically in groups of 4 to 10 students.
The provision is open from 8.45am to 3pm. Students can attend full time.
Transport is not provided.
The length of programme can be adapted to what is required for each student.
