Increase street lighting levels in Deckham

That the Council investigates how to turn up street lighting levels in Deckham and Gateshead and subsequently acts on that information to increase the street lighting levels.

Background information

Since 2010, street lighting levels in Deckham and in Gateshead have been turned down due to central government cuts to Gateshead Council's budget. However, the lighting levels are now too low, and work must be done to investigate how the lighting can be turned up to an acceptable level which will result in a visible change. Once this work is carried out, Gateshead Council must investigate how the findings can be implemented in order to brighten our streets in the dark.
