Gateshead Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)

The Gateshead Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme aims to provide a bridge from qualifying training to confident and competent practice that is based on a firm foundation of skills and knowledge and forms the basis for career-long professional development. The programme offers structured support throughout the non-qualified Social Worker's first year as a qualified social worker.

As a Newly Qualified Social Worker you will have access to a range of development opportunities. Learning and developing your skills is essential to your progression as a social worker. Gateshead is committed to ensuring our NQSW have the knowledge and skills to develop and provide workshops each month throughout the NQSW's ASYE. The workshops are designed to be a space for the cohorts to come together and learn whilst also offering that space for peer reflection.
