Refugees and migration
Gateshead Council has welcomed refugees who have fled their home country due to conflict and instability since 2015.
We have a dedicated Refugee and Migration team based in the Housing Support Service. The team includes refugee resettlement support workers, who provide housing advice and integration support to refugees who have entered the UK via a government-approved refugee resettlement scheme.
In addition to this, we work with a range of voluntary sector organisations across the borough who provide advice to the asylum, refugee and migration community. Search our directory to find organisations that can help.
