    Overview

    Lansbury Close is situated in the south of Gateshead in Birtley. Birtley high street is a short distance away. It has amenities including shops, a library and a large supermarket, and there are good bus transport links to Gateshead, Chester-le-Street and Durham.   

    Lansbury Close consists of 22 one-bed bungalows and 10 two-bed bungalows, each containing Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. The bungalows have open plan gardens to enjoy and there is parking available onsite. The scheme has a Mobile Sheltered Scheme Officer who shares their time with other schemes but is contactable between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, providing support to residents. 

    The communal lounge on site has an activity schedule where residents come together to relax and socialise.
