Pleasant Place D Unit is situated in Birtley, close to Pleasant Place C Unit. Birtley high street is a short distance away with amenities including shops, doctors, pharmacy, a large supermarket, and excellent bus transport links.  

There is an on-site Sheltered Scheme Officer available Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm to provide support and signposting for residents. 

Pleasant Place D unit is operated by a fob entry system and all flats are contained within the scheme. There are 15 one-bed flats and two two-bed flats which all contain Tunstall emergency care units with pull cords and pendants. These are technology solutions that can help you to manage many risks around the home, and alert caregivers in an emergency. 

There is a communal lounge where residents drop in to relax and socialise with each other. There is a communal garden area with a section for residents to grow vegetables and a lovely patio seating area.
