Description

Notice is hereby given that on 02 October 2024 the Council made The Borough Council of Gateshead (Market Lane, Swalwell) (Waiting Restrictions) Traffic Regulation Order 2024.

The Order, which comes into effect on 11 October 2024 will amend the Tyne and Wear County Council (The Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead) Traffic Regulation (Consolidation) Order 1982 as follows:

(a) In Schedule 25 'Prohibition of Waiting 8:00am to 6:00pm - Monday to Saturday' revoking item 43 Market Lane A6081, Swalwell - both sides, between its junctions with Hexham Road and Napier Road; 

(b) In Schedule 19 'Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time' inserting the new items as set out in the Schedule to the Order; and 

(c) In Schedule 25 'Prohibition of Waiting 8:00am to 6:00pm - Monday to Saturday' inserting the following new item: Market Lane, South Side, between its junctions with Hexham Road and Napier Road.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under them has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
