Fraud checks
To prevent and detect fraud, we forward all applications to our Corporate Fraud Team. They will verify the information provided. We may also share our information with public fund auditors and credit agencies. We will seek to prosecute and recover any fraudulently obtained property. Any suspicious or large-scale transactions are reported to our Money Laundering Officer.
You must complete a declaration stating that all the information is true. You must also provide evidence to support this sale. Giving false or misleading information or withholding information could lead to prosecution. We cannot complete your application until we check all sources of funds.
Watch out for companies offering free help with Right to Buy applications. These companies may earn a commission for referring customers to insurance and mortgage brokers. They may also lack authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You can use the Financial Services Register (opens new window) to check if a firm is registered with the FCA.
