Description

Notice is hereby given that on 30 October 2024 the Council made The Borough Council of Gateshead (Speed Amendment) (A694 Lockhaugh Road) Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to reduce the speed limit on the A694 Lockhaugh Road from 40mph to 30mph between the junction of Thornley Lane and Burnopfield Road.

The Order will come into operation on 07 November 2024 on an experimental basis and it will remain in force for up to 18 months.

The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person may object to the making of such a permanent Order within a period of six months from 07 November 2024, stating the grounds for the objection in writing to the Strategic Director of Corporate Services and Governance as set out in the Notice.
