Art Diamonds: Play with the Moon with Helen Schell
Join specialist space artist Helen Schell who will present 'The Human Spaceship - Off Balance' project, looking at visual perception in altered gravity (the Moon, Mars and space stations). For retired adults only.
Using optical illusions and geometric patternmaking to express 'off-world' environments, create your own Moon Book, with pop-up, fold-out and collage techniques. There will also be discussion surrounding the planned Artemis mission to the Moon by NASA, and a look back at the famous Moon Landing of 1969.
Gateshead Art Diamonds is supported with funding from HM Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
