What we do

We offer support and guidance through our community home visits. Our team offers a wide range of support in areas such as:

  • setting up a new home - some examples - setting up utilities/setting up rent and Council Tax payments/support to add UC journal updates/finding out what's going on in the community/accessing employment, training and volunteering
  • resolving any issues that relate to a risk of losing a current home, thus preventing homelessness - some examples - liaising with Rent and Income Team/Council Tax/private landlords
  • making sure the correct benefits are being claimed and support with budgeting
  • support to access transport, encouragement to attend appointments with specialist services that can help with mental health, drug and alcohol and legal issues
  • finding out about training and getting back into work and referring to the correct services
  • registering with a doctor and other medical services
  • offering support to cook healthy meals on a budget
  • getting the right support for any children in the household, referring to appropriate services
  • supporting you to feel safe in your home and also when out and about
