Nominate your Gateshead Heroes

Do you know a person or an organisation that goes the extra mile to help others in Gateshead to thrive? If so don't let their hard work go unnoticed - nominate them for a Gateshead Award.
The awards take place annually to recognise the contribution of people within the borough who go the extra mile to help their community and to celebrate all those who make a real difference to the lives of others in Gateshead.
The Awards are also an opportunity for the wider Gateshead family to thank people for their contribution to the borough with categories being sponsored by Gateshead College, Gateshead FC, Komatsu, Metrocentre and Northgate Vehicle Hire.
The Mayor of Gateshead, Councillor Kath McCartney, said "Our local communities provide fantastic support and encouragement to people across Gateshead and we want to ensure that those who go above and beyond to help others are recognised for their efforts. Our Gateshead Awards are a great opportunity for us to thank those who make a huge difference to the lives of others and help Gateshead to thrive.
"I'd like to ask everyone to think about who they know that makes a difference to others in Gateshead and encourage them to nominate these people or organisations for a Gateshead Award."

- Lifetime Achievement Award
