Other licences

There is a requirement for anyone who wants to be a public weighman to be certified as such by the Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures.

There is a requirement to be licensed as a boatman in order to hire out craft. The Licences are in the form of a restricted or full boatman's licence.

Sunday trading rules came into force in 1994. The rule allows small shops in England with a floor area of up to 280 square metres (3,014 square feet) to choose their own Sunday opening hours.
