Adult employability courses

Programme overview
Currently our adult employability courses are delivered as part of our Step into Work programme in partnership with our vocational team and CBC Health. These 7-week programmes run termly and are designed to give learners the skills needed to apply for and secure roles within their chosen areas.
Eligibility
Although part of our Step into Work programme, anyone (19+) who feels they need additional support to find work can join our employability courses.
Programme content
Our employability programmes are designed to support learners to develop the skills and knowledge needed at each stage of their job search journey. Units covered on the programme include:
- understanding where you are now and setting goals and targets
- applying for jobs and courses (CV's and applications)
- preparing for a recruitment interview including a mock interview with feedback
- starting work and workplace behaviours and etiquette
At the end of the programme, you will have access to 1-1 support sessions for further support with CV's, applications and interviews skills if needed.
Prior experience and knowledge needed
No prior experience or knowledge is needed.
Materials and equipment
We will provide all materials and equipment for the programme.
Assessment
At the beginning of the course, you will complete a short initial assessment with us and as the course progresses you will complete a range of workbooks which will be used as evidence for the NOCN Certificate in Using Employability Skills. Please speak to us if you need your assessment in a different format.
