Course overview
Are you worried about your child's eating habits? Do you want to learn more about encouraging children to eat a healthy balanced diet? This course aims to develop an understanding of how to live a healthy lifestyle as a family.
Course content
We will look at The Eatwell Guide to promote the importance of eating a healthy, balanced diet and understanding food labels. We will discuss the importance of maintaining good oral health through effective teeth brushing and eating less sugar. This will include studying the negative effects of sugar on the teeth and body. Following on from this, we will share tips and ideas on how to include exercise and other healthy lifestyle habits into your daily routines. Using the information learnt over the course, you will then plan and prepare healthy packed lunches and snacks.

Community and Family Learning groups.
Materials and equipment
All materials will be provided by Learning and Skills tutors.
Assessment
Your tutor will assess your work and photograph the things you have made as evidence of your hard work. You will work on targets together to show your learning over the course.
