Course overview
Do you struggle with your own mental health or are you interested in knowing more about mental health conditions? This course will develop your understanding of mental health issues and help you to build an awareness of the signs and symptoms of a range of different mental health conditions. You will build an understanding of ways to support your own and others' mental health and well-being and where you could go for further support.
Course content
You will be able to define mental health and have a knowledge of first aid for mental health. You will build an understanding of how negative stereotypes and labelling can impact on an individual's mental health. You will discuss strategies that can support your own and other's mental health. You will be able to identify both national and local organisations, which can support with mental health concerns.

Assessment
30 minute multiple choice online exam.
Accreditation
Learners will receive a Level 1 Award in Mental Health.
