Course overview
Do you want to learn new ways of crafting with paper? This craft course aims to introduce you to a variety of paper-based craft techniques such as making paper beads, die cut flowers, and origami items. Alongside learning these techniques, you will develop your manual dexterity and creative thinking. The course aims to provide a relaxing and enjoyable environment for social interaction, which in turn will support you to develop your confidence, mental health, and overall well-being.
Course content
On this course, you will produce a finished paper-based craft project each week such as origami flowers, paper bead jewellery, papier-mâché bowls and die cut flower canvases. As the course progresses, you will demonstrate increased confidence in using paper crafting tools and materials as the skills required become increasingly more intricate. You will also improve your ability to follow instructions to create your own personalised craft items that can be shared with family and friends and use paper-based crafts as a way of supporting your mental health and well-being.
