Programme overview

This is a ceramics pottery course for parents/carers and their children to enjoy together. They will be encouraged to work together, building relationships and bonds through a shared interest in creating bespoke ceramic projects. Tutors will encourage creativity and support to develop the child's interests, developing skills, confidence and raising self-esteem and resilience.

Programme content

You will learn a range of ceramic techniques while spending time together as a family, where imagination and creative ideas are encouraged and celebrated.

Who this course is for

Parents and children aged 5 to 12 years.

Experience and knowledge needed

No experience needed. 

Materials and equipment

You do not need to bring any specific equipment, but it might be wise to wear old clothing suitable for a pottery environment. We do supply aprons, but you might want to bring your own.

All materials will be supplied including tools, clay and use of the kiln.

Assessment

You will be assessed by observation, questioning and discussions on the ceramic project.
