Debbie's story
Debbie has worked for Gateshead Council since 1995 in lots of different roles, most recently as a Kitchen Assistant. She helps keep the kitchen at our Marquisway site running like clockwork and is an integral part of the site's catering team.
Our employment support workers have facilitated health and safety as well as fire safety training for Debbie so she can continue to thrive in her role.
Testament to Debbie's dedication, she has been recognised with a 25 years in service award and is a cherished member of the catering team.
Speaking about her role, Debbie said: "I have worked in my current job since 2002. I really like it and was so proud when I received my long service award!"
Adding how invaluable she is to the team, Debbie's line manager and Team Leader at Marquisway Gillian added: "Debbie is a real asset to our team. She is approachable, friendly, dedicated and always makes sure her work is done to the best of her ability. We are really lucky to have a team member like her."
