Employer perspective - Alex's story

Alex is a Duty Manager in Customer Services at Savills, Metrocentre. Alex supports two of our clients employed by Savills in the shopping centre's Customer Services department, Philippa and Emily. 

Philippa works within the Shopmobility team and makes sure the mall's map stands are always full. Emily works across the entire site managing lost luggage, cleaning fun buggies, refilling map stands and more. Since they both started at the Metrocentre, they have made a real impact in their roles and are firm favourites amongst their teams. 

Commenting on how much both Philippa and Emily contribute to Savill's, Alex shared: "Philippa and Emily have truly become part of the team and over time they have increased their hours and responsibilities within Customer Services. The fact that both Emily and Phillipa can now independently get themselves to work is a major achievement and something that Gateshead Access to Employment Service has been instrumental in helping with. Our team is enriched by having Emily and Philippa on it."
