Blue Badge inspections
If you suspect fraud is taking place, report your concerns.
Civil Enforcement Officers in Gateshead inspect Blue Badges on display to help ensure that they are only being used by those entitled to do so, and that the conditions of the badge are being followed. The misuse of a Blue Badge is a criminal offence, with a maximum fine of £1000.
You may be issued a parking ticket (PCN) if:
- A Blue Badge is used inappropriately.
- If a Civil Enforcement Officer requests to view your Blue Badge and you refuse.
