Kibblesworth Seats

Jim made a seat for Kibblesworth which is located in the play area near to the Cricket Club. Designed in collaboration with the Kibblesworth Youth Group through practical workshop sessions, the seat incorporates local themes and interests. Jim made the seat in his studio, then it was hot-dip galvanised, etched, primed and lacquered to give it a gunmetal finish. It was installed in 2013.

'My work involves with design, manufacturing and siting of sculptural steel artwork. It often entails my interaction with various community groups.

Jim Roberts is a Sunderland based Sculptor who has worked extensively in many parts of the North East region. He designed and made a number of seats and way-markers for the WatergatePark.
