Library Manifestations
During the re-development of Gateshead Central Library in 2010 a local poet Ira Lightman and designer Dan Civico worked with library visitors to create ideas for a text based art work. Visitors to the library were invited to come up with suitable lines of poetry, descriptions and thoughts and a selection of these were acid-etched, in a font invented by Ira, onto the new windows and glass panels of the library.
