Learn valuable skills in the library to increase your digital knowledge and build confidence in areas such as using email, online safety information and getting the most out of your online job search. Friendly, informal sessions for everyone from beginners to the experienced, to help you get the most out of your online time. Session topics can include:

- how you can make your device more accessible for you

Informal short course to support you to begin your learning journey through Learn My Way. https://www.learnmyway.com/
Learn My way is a free website which helps people with low or no digital skills to gain confidence and learn how to use the internet and digital technologies. Topics include:
- Safety and security online
- Online entertainment
- Getting started using the internet
- How to use a computer, mouse and keyboard
- How to use a touch screen device
We can help you to register your own account and get started using the website to begin your learning journey.
Other Digital Learning
Mindfulness sessions
Practical sessions using iPads to demonstrate a selection of apps that can help with relaxation and mindfulness techniques. Suitable for everyone, no previous experience of iPads is necessary.
The apps should be used as complementary to, not as a replacement for, professional help.

Introduction to Find My Past and the 1921 Census Course
Discover more about this fascinating newly released resource. Find out where your ancestors lived, where they were born what they did for a living. This course must be delivered in a Gateshead Council Library.

- AND/OR cannot afford their existing monthly contract or top up
